Hey there! I’m Marc, founder of TCGPLaiMATS and a lifelong Magic: The Gathering player who lives and breathes cEDH. Like many of you, I take my playmats seriously. They’re not just there to protect my deck; they’re my battlefield. It's where my strategy unfolds, where my favorite cards come to life, and where every match leaves a mark.
For the longest time, I couldn’t find playmats that resonated with me. So I started making my own.
I began experimenting with new ways to bring the characters, planes, and aesthetics I love most in Magic to life. What started as a personal project quickly became something more. The designs continued to evolve, and I figured that maybe other players would connect with them too.
I'm not an illustrator. My background is in coding — I was a senior web developer. But I've always admired artists, and over time I found my own way to create the imagery I couldn't find anywhere else.
